Two Colorado college students were found dead after going missing while hiking in the Rocky Mountains, according to an Associated Press report carried by The Guardian. The Guardian identified them as Kaden Matsuda, 19, of Ridgway, Colorado, and Jackson Donlon, 20, of New York, and reported that their bodies were found on Wednesday.

The Guardian reported that the two were on a trip in the Rocky Mountains last weekend when a heavy snowstorm hit, and that authorities said they had gone missing during the hiking trip.

A separate ABC News report said police reported that two college students were found dead after going missing while hiking. Its summary described a pair of Colorado hikers who went missing on Friday. The ABC News summary and The Guardian account therefore differ on timing, with one placing the disappearance on Friday and the other placing the trip over last weekend. Neither summary reconciles the two timelines.

Neither ABC News nor The Guardian, in the summaries available, states a cause of death. The summaries also do not describe a search effort or the conditions the students faced beyond the snowstorm that The Guardian mentioned.
