Paris Jackson is seeking to have $600 million from her father's estate placed in a family trust, Billboard reported, while a representative for the daughter of Michael Jackson accused the estate's executors of incompetence, financial mismanagement and delays in distributing his wealth to his children, according to The New York Times.

Billboard reported that the dispute has run for more than a year between Jackson and executor John Branca, an attorney, over the attorney's continued control of the estate. The publication's headline describes her criticism of an executor's "iron grip" on the estate.

The New York Times reported that the representative's accusations were directed at the executors of the estate, and that they cover incompetence, financial mismanagement and delays in distributing Michael Jackson's wealth to his children. The Times summary does not describe any response from the executors.

The two reports differ in emphasis. Billboard frames the dispute around Branca's control of the estate, while The New York Times centers its account on the executors as a group and on the delays in distributing assets to the children.

Neither Billboard nor The New York Times, in the material available for this report, gives a ruling, a total value for the estate or a timetable for the requested trust.
